Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Adam Shoemaker ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Wondermark iOS app and this website (https://wondermark.app).
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, display name, and avatar URL when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email magic link.
- App activity: Wondermark find events, trip participation, hunt participation, household membership, standings, and optional notes you save in the app.
- Location: coarse location when you grant When In Use permission on the Map tab. Wondermark does not collect background location.
- Push notifications: device token and notification preferences when you opt in to hunt alerts.
How we use information
- Provide account sync, progress tracking, hunts, standings, and household sharing.
- Show nearby Wondermarks on the Map when location is enabled.
- Send optional push notifications for hunts you join.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication, database hosting, and backend services.
- Apple / Google — sign-in providers when you choose those options.
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — delivery of optional hunt notifications.
Data retention
We retain your account data while your account is active. Device tokens are removed when you sign out or delete your account. Push notification preferences are stored until you change or delete them.
Your choices
- Location is optional — the app works without location permission.
- Push notifications are optional and can be disabled in Settings → Notifications.
- You may delete your account in the app via Profile → Settings → Delete account.
Account deletion
In-app account deletion soft-deletes your profile and signs you out. Household find history may be retained in anonymized form where applicable. To request additional privacy assistance, contact privacy@wondermark.app.
Children
Wondermark is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Website
This marketing site does not use analytics cookies or tracking pixels in v1. Standard server logs may be collected by our hosting provider.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
